Well, it’s official. Daylight Savings Time is (finally) over. Every year this makes all kinds of people complain, complain, complain. Me? I love it! It means the summer is really-and-truly over and hot weather is gone for a few precious months! It means Christmas is coming; also, my birthday! It means it’s time to make huge pots of delicious chili! All of which are reasons to say, “hooray!”
This week also starts the winter concert-going season. Free concerts at the National Gallery are in full swing now that November has arrived. There are also some not-so-free events on offer; I decided to splurge and get a “create your own series” package of WPAS events this year. But over the weekend I was extremely bummed to realize that I’ll have to miss the first of my WPAS events — the Michael Feinstein show this coming Sunday — due to family events. It makes me sad to miss it, but it will be for a nice reason, so that’s ok. Shoot, if that’s the worst thing to happen this week, I’ll be just fine. Guess that’s why God invented Craigslist, eh?
